Isn't it? I haven't turned it off in two days, constant repeat, sometimes I pick up my guitar and jam with it, sometimes I just sit back dazed by the sublimity of it. It isn't that I hadn't heard Aster Aweke, its just that is not the Aster Aweke I had heard! In fact, I've never really heard Ethiopian music quite like that, it was hand tailored to everything I adore in music, I am literally in love in a way I haven't been with a new music since I saw Shannon Wright in 2002.. This album is very seriously pushing me closer to Ethiopia then ever, because I know I can disappear into the nightclub scene with my guitar there and ephemerally reverberate away..
