would not be what, norma j?
i might be being a total hyprocrite here, but pete townsend had joined a child porn website. proving he was writing a book on it doesnt really make alot of sense to me. it seems like a crazy excuse born out of despair of being caught. like when i was a schoolkid and my mom would find fagends in my drawer cuz id been smoking out my window, id tell her i was looking after them for someone. that kind of crazy unbelievable excuse. if youre writing a book on child porn, you must obviously feel very strongly against it. its child abuse, and if you feel strongly against it, a normal person would probably not find and join a site on it, giving money to evil people who make sure there are kids being raped everyday. my point is more that people never look for any evidence. they dont wanna hear it. everybody in this thread is willing to believe CHOUT, no questions asked. it seems like CHOUT doesnt know much about this than that half arsed newspaper article that seems to contradict itself. nobody cares or even notices. someone could be guilty of doing that and thats all that seems to matter. it ruins peoples lives. pete townsend s a good example as he wont ever live it down. especialy in england. my mate is called pete and he was going out with a girl of 16 (10 years younger than him) he earned the kickname pete townsend. pete townsend and child porn are forever linked. whether hes guilty or not. i find that situation far too fishy though. if he had proved that he didnt join that site then fair enough, but he admitted it, and i dont buy his excuse. |

im not saying hes innocent. but thinking about it, theres alot of other things that could have happned. or maybe the guy is guilty and he did it and he should be punished, strung up, whatever. having known more than just that one guy in that situation because of nothing more than a rumour, i always ask that question first. and i was a bit disturbed that nobody else did. |

Look, I would have written the same thing you did (because I believe in innocence before being proved guilty) save the overwhelmingly likely fact that he attempted to flee & punched someone in the process. CHOUT knows the person better than I ever will, he made the post, & while the police blotter is often riddled with inaccuracies (I've experienced this personally), I doubt the police blotter would make up events like that he punched an employee trying to stop him. Assault & fleeing the scene usually equals gulit, at least on the planet in which I live. When the lecher goes to court then he can have the slate wiped clean temporarily & his gulit will most likely be proven. |

thats the point though, the slate wouldnt be wiped clean. you seem to be pushin me into a corner where my only way out is to look as if im defending this guy. im not. its seems more likely he did it. my point is, he may not have. the article first suggests that this guy touched the girls ass. thats all most people need to read. it then goes on to say that the guy did not in fact touch the girl. sure running away and punching someone kinda makes you think he is guilty, but he may not be guilty of what people say he is. CHOUT said he was a fucked up guy, got some problems but never thought he would do something like that. im not interested in going back and forth with this. my point was pretty fucking simple in the first place, but i end up making it again for you. i know what come next. |

Wow, this got more heated than I thought.
Let's just say his bail is in the Five-figure range and Target has cameras... |

And that happens to be the standard amount of bail set with an indictment for attempted solicitation of a minor or forcing oneself on a minor...$15,000 USD. Before anyone gets cute, I've watched some of those Dateline NBC 'To Catch a Predator' shows. Considering the other charges like fleeing and assault and battery, it should be higher actually. Any crime like this with cameras that have recorded the defendant's illegal acts should have at least a 50,000 bail (if not a hundred or no bail at all) set that would require the defendant to raise five grand with a bail bonding compnay to possibly get out before trial. Any person that would sociopathically and psychotically go after a minor is not too far removed from doing other heinous acts like torturing animals, mugging, carjacking, home invasion or possibly even committing homicide. |

I used to be really popular and had lots of friends. Yeah, I hung out with lots of scene kids but they were nice people. I really enjoyed myself with them, but they all just suddenly got really uncaring. Three of them got hooked on ecstacy, one's only 13 years old, and she had unprotected sex with a guy 7 times in a row when she was 12, and another is now getting help for her addiction. The last one quit before it got bad, and just smokes cigarettes, but she's still always really sad and never content. That leaves me to my last close friend in that group, who totally ditched me for this attractive immigrant chick, which he got totally whipped and just left me for her (if you remember "joey" from the board, he used to be a scene dude). So I'm left with barely any friends, but I'd rather have barely any than have those people. I'm way too caught up with schoolwork to even do anything else. I wish I had more time to post because I always used to, and I wish I had the time to recreate Groundwater. So I really don't have time for friends anyway, so once I find time I guess I'll make more. I'm always stuck here in front of my computer designing poster layouts and practicing Javascript while drinking protein shakes and listening to Os Mutantes. I'm sick of it.
