this kind of snuck up on me, only knew it was out when i saw a review of it.
i didn't fall in love with "Popular Songs" so i was kind of wary, but apart from 2 tracks this is beautiful anyone else like it? good to see Yo La still going to be honest |

I think it's their best album in years, though some of the songs can get really drilled into one's brain in that kind of " I can't sleep for all the mournful choruses echoing in my head" kind of way.
It has a distinctly 1997 vibe to it, which is okay with me. Probably my favorite record of the year so far. Almost made a thread about it even. Then decided there was no point. Hope to add them to my 2013 concert calendar, as I haven't seen them since 2003. |
