Richard Brautigan. He wrote 'The Abortion', and 'Trout Fishing in America' and 'The Tokyo-Montana Express'. This instantly makes him one of life's good guys.

The library for unpublished books from his novel The Abortion (which I just finished re-reading) is probably my favourite of his concepts. I don't think I've ever read a more humane writer.

My favorite of his concepts is probably the Forgotten Works. I used that for my solo music moniker for some time, and then I found out someone else had been using it. My usage pre-dated theirs, but they can have it. I'm not super serious about my solo stuff. There is a track called "iDEATH" on the NWW-related Chrystal Belle Scrodd's "Belle de Jour," which is also one of my favorite pieces of music. |

Yes! The Forgotten Works is an incredible idea. I was telling one of my students about it recently and they're now basing their entire end of degree show on it. Although right now I'm a bit concerned that they're taking this line, "The Forgotten Works just go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on" a little too literally. lol.

The Hawkline Monster : A Gothic Western is a highly enjoyable, laid back book I was glad to read.
The monster was a little speck of light, cruising on a bowl of soup, its clumsy accomplice in its wake - a shadow ashamed of all crimes perpetrated. |

For some reason, NNCK's Qvaris provides a great musical accompaniment to reading 'In Watermelon Sugar'.
