Joel Hodgson is still riffing on movies. The creator of Mystery Science Theater 3000 has got a new web show coming up where he will be pretty much doing what he did on MST3K. Watching movies and talking smack about them. As a fan of the classic series, I'm intrested in seeing it happen again, maybe with even more innuendos and risque humor that couldn't make it on television. The cool thing is that he is bringing all the "original" MST3K crew with him, THe originals are coming back to show all the imitators how its done.

Holy shit thanks man.
It is a tradition in my family that everytime we get together on holidays, we have to watch Manos: The Hands Of Fate. |

Cool, I'll def. have to check it out.
Comedy Central needs to show MST3K all day on Thanksgiving like they used to back in the day.

Speaking of former MST3K hosts, has anyone listened to Mike Nelson's Rifftrax, and are they any good?

I've heard of Mike Nelson's rifftrax, but never really had the desire to watch them. Then I'd have to watch popular movies.

My friend just introduced me to this and we've been having e-movie nights. So far Jack Frost is my favorite.

The only thing I've seen from it so far. From the looks of it, I'd say it's awesome. ALSO: There is going to be a live showing of RiffTrax: Plan 9 from Outer Space at various theatres around the country at 7 PM C/T tonight. I really want to go. some of them are hit and miss. probably the most funniest rifftrack i've heard was jurassic park. they're kid-friendly now, so there's a few lame jokes here and they bleep themselves but when they're funny, they're fucking funny. |
