RED LORY YELLOW LORRY "TALK ABOUT THE WEATHER" 1985, Red Rhino An excellent, dark GEM of an album. Sounds like an extension of Wire's "154" meets Joy Division while still having its own amazing sound. Dark throbbing distorted bass, droney fuzzy guitar, propulsive and pounding drums, and low evil vocals. I don't really know what to say about this album except that I think it's excellent... I uploaded a song from it if you're curious: http://www.sendspace.com/file/1m8c0n |

these threads always remind me of bands i havnt thought about in years, yes, this band is great, best goth rock/post punk band ever, and possibly the only one i like (that is unless you wanna consider the banshees, joy division, the cramps, and the birthday party goth). i really like their albums 'blasting off' and 'nothing wrong/blow'. never heard this one though.

I gave RLYL a try many years ago, when I was happy to listen to any band with a tenuous link to The Sisters of Mercy or The Mission, and I'm afraid the album I bought was a bit flat and lacking in dynamics. It was only some years later that I realised that that was the standard production style for mid-80s Goth records, but that I'd been too busy being dark and mysterious to notice how crap the music sounded.

Sure.
Don't forget to gimme a big ol' rep. Haha. Here it is: http://www.sendspace.com/file/zzm0iv (50mb) Like I may have failed to say, the production is a bit dated, but it's an absolutely killer album regardless. |

ah, the Lorries. I liked Nothing Wrong, i believe is the title. I had that and the one with the wagons on the cover. Nothing Wrong was a bit of a minor hit for them back when, the vid was on MTV and what not.
didn't dig the song u provided tho. they didn't quite make it huh.
