I'd love for open-minded hip hop fans to check out this album. I figured that DJ Quik & Kurupt would be "past their prime" by now. And I really didn't expect anything remotely interesting. But BLAQKOUT is a record that sounds like a Gangsta Rap BBQ being hijacked by avant garde experimentalists. The beats are so ridiculous. And yet the wordplay is all sex and fun. It's like... um well here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWp0Y... 2A9B0&index=6 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHe18yE2kXM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNdqv... 2A9B0&index=2 and these are some of the more instantly awesome ones. There's shit on there that is so forward thinking, it's hard to believe that these guys were once on Death Row Recs.
