does anyone else to find this band very rad? i mean, ive been waiting for a band to actualy prove to me that there is something special going on over in los angeles for a while. i find HEALTH to be horrible wannabe noise rock, no age is fine but never something i woulld really really get into, mika miko is a cool band but again not mind blowing, i use to love the mae shi but that last record was boring chirpy guitar indie bullshit. but the silver daggers are on some other shit. waaay more extreme than any of the other bands they play with. they are very obviously influenced by the screamers (one of my favorite bands easily) but they make a synth punk that is clogged with noise and dissonance and skronk, making them sound more like a no wave band that uses synthesizers than a synth punk band. skrony arto lindsay esque guitars, dissonant saxophone, synthesizers/electronics, heavily distorted vocals, and an excellent rhytym section.within all the fury and noise and electronics and squeals there are also honest to god hooks. brings to mind stuff like the scissor girls, the flying lutttenbachers at their most electronic and least metalish, and dog faced hermans. i slept on this band way to long, i suggest you dont repeat my mistake and get 'new high and ord' off load records immediatley.

Yeah, they're good. Occasionally annoying vocals, but I dig em overall. As I said on the other thread, was on a comp with 'em.
Never thought about the Dog Faced Hermans comparison, I can definitely see that. |

Yeah they're pretty neat. They've played with my friends band a couple of times I think. It's been a while since I listened to 'em.
