Astor Piazzolla is pretty great. I love "Zero Hour."
Local duo Dreamland Faces are a very excellent accordian/singing saw combo that do eerie old-style music, sometimes with shadow puppets. Great musicians too. The singing saw guy really knows how to play notes on the thing, and it sounds quite Theremin-like at times. http://www.dreamlandfaces.com |

Check out The Gotan Project. They have some interesting accordian playing on their recordings. I recommend Lunatico.

I have an Angel Corpus Christi 7", a version of Suicide's "Cheree" with Alan Vega doing the vocals. It's nice enough, and an interesting novelty, but with Vega doing the vocals, a novelty is exactly what it feels like and it's put me off thinking about exploring any further.

The irony being that you're perfectly aware of the fact that ellipses are surrogate semi-colons and we're all human, all to human.
[Does it undermine my point to say I'm quite pleased with that gag?]
