lately i have been buying alot of vinyl and my collection is small but getting better and better. Vinyl is expensive! so i have to buy only a few at a time. I love every single record i have and wouldn't trade them for anything. They were all bought for a reason and even if i didn't like it too much at first, now i love every song on every record and side. i plan on getting some more beatles records and some sonic youth records that i have on hold right now. I think one of them is sister. i used to have some modonna records but i traded them in for the double fantasy record. i definetley think i made the right decision.

Wow, this is weird. Laila, that was the first Kinks record I ever bought. Bought it for 1$ at a small record shop. Yippie!

Leonard Cohen is very cool - 'The PArtisan' is on that collection, if I remember correctly. Mighty song.

I still have more CDs than vinyls, but my vinyls are catching up. I have: Sonic Youth- Murray Street, Sonic Nurse Bauhaus- The Singles Tones on Tail- Go!/Lions 12" import single Gang of Four- I Love a Man In Uniform 12" Fugazi- 13 songs, Repeater, I'm in on the Killtaker, 3 songs, The Argument Tubeway Army- S/T, Replicas Ramones- Rocket to Russia, Ramones, and Leave Home Jesus and Mary Chain- Blues from a Gun 12" Led Zeppelin 1,2,3,4, Physical Graffiti, The Song Remains the Same (Houses of the Holy keeps eluding me!!!) Black Sabbath- Paranoid, S/T, Master of Reality Johnny Cash- Live at Folsom Beat Happening- Black Candy, Jamboree Calvin Johnson- What Was Me David Bowie- Station to Station, Diamond Dogs, Let's Dance! Devo- Freedom of Choice Pixies- Come On Pilgrim, Doolittle, Trompe Le Monde Mutant Pop (comp of early Fast Product bands- Mekons, 2.3, Human League, Gang of Four, Flowers, Scars) Talking Heads- Stop Making Sense (Crappy live versions of their good songs, although the version of Girlfriend is Better is pretty good) The Fire Escape- Psychotic Reaction! The Clash- Combat Rock Elvis Costello- My Aim is True The Police- Syncronicity Madness- S/T Adam and the Ants- Stand and Deliver/Beat My Guest 12" The Graduate Soundtrack The Ventures- Surfin' That is all I can think of right now. my dad bought me a record player for my 16th birthday and so ive been collecting ever since then, i have quite a few now, still no where near as many cd's but its growning.
my most prized item so far is "from a basement on the hill" by Elliott Smith, it cost me a very pretty penny. but i love it. |

Oddly enough, I have no home to live in @ the moment, I'm staying at a buddies house w/ all of my LP's scattered on the floor right now as we speak.
But, never the less, still getting to listen to vinyl. Playing now; YES- "Yes Live Shows"
