Actually, I like 'Livin' on a Prayer'--it's one of my secret weaknesses. I'm far more ashamed of it than my fondness for old Archies and Partridge Family records. As for 'Bad Medicine', Did you ever notice (as some smartass once pointed out in Spin or Rolling Stone) that the chorus sounds like, "Thoreau is like Ralph Emerson / Ralph Emerson is what I read / shake it up..."...?

Reminds me of the Saturday Night Live sketch where Bon Jovi (played by himself when he was hosting) is telling the rest of the members of the band that they should call themselves "Bon Jovi" and they are giving him shit for it...haha.

I used to like Blaze of Glory, when I heard it last saturday and I think I'll listen to it again soon. The guy who played Sweet Child O' Mine didn't like it though. ("eww, Bon Jovi?") |

bon jovi has a few good tunes. livin' on a prayer is not one of them, if for no other reason than drunk people like to sing it. it is only slightly less annoying than when someone plays "sweet caroline" and drunk people add the "so good, so good, so good." wanted dead or alive blows LOAP away. if they didn't sing wanted dead or alive, i could care less if they existed.
