I really love A Thousand Leaves but unfortunatly for it, EVOL is my favorite Sonic Youth album and therefore I vote on it.

I have to go with EVOL, it's just too dark and beautiful, although 1,000 leaves has some great songs.

This is the toughest choice out of the first round. I'm gonna go with A Thousand Leaves...but I may regret the decision.

EVOL. only because it took me ages to get into a thousand leaves. and i totally had a "moment" with EVOL the other night that cemented it's place in my top SY rekkids.

Damn, this is definitely the toughest round one face-off... Had to go with EVOL though, as it's one of the most important albums in my musical development, and also because of the opening to Tom Violence, amng other things....
