My sleep cycle is totally fucked too.
Like the other night I fall asleep at midnight, wake up at 5:30, can't sleep at all, so I just decide to stay up and I'm a zombie all day. Then last night being so tired I go to bed at 1 AM, and I sleep til 2 PM. Tonight I can't sleep and it is past 7 AM. I have been a bit giddy lately, so maybe that is it. I just took some benadryl, so my insomnia is going to go away pretty quick. Here are my cures: 1. Masturbate 2. Take 2-3 antihystamines. 3. alcohol + antihystamines |

A good book, but not so good that you don't want to put it down.
Some of the music referred to in this thread: Music that induces sleep. Suggestions? Not alcohol - no sooner than you fall asleep than you'll wake up again needing to pee, and then you'll struggle to fall asleep all over again. |

Grab a book, read like 20 pages and you'll sleep like a baby.

I think I am going to drink. needing to get up and pee once or twice and sleeping the rest of the time is better than not sleeping at all.

Just take one shot of whisky. Worked for me. Only I had to put up with the horrible taste for the next few minutes I was awake.

What's your caffeine intake?
What's your diet? How much exercise do you get? What's your alcohol consumption? Are you under stress? What do you do to relax? Do you try to stick to a normal bedtime? These are all questions you must address. Most psychologists will recommend that you stick to regular sleep schedules, and that you get a minimum of eight hours of rest. You need eight hours of full restorative sleep, as a minimum. Everybody does. Anything less is bad for your mental and physical health. Most psychologists will also recommend that you go to bed at your regular time and stay there, even when you can't sleep. Don't get up to do something else. Toss and turn if you have to, but stay there. This trains your body eventually to adhere to a regular time and schedule for sleep. You must also not become dependent on artificial measures such as that shot of whiskey or a sleeping pill. This won't allow your body to become accustomed on a regular basis to the full restorative sleep you need. When you start fucking with your sleep cycle, you do in fact fuck it up and make it hard to get back into a regular pattern. Amend this now.

I've been going to be at 10:00 lately out of boredom.
normally, I would go to bed at about 1:00am but not for the last two weeks... it sucks because I don't sleep through the night and end up getting less sleep than if I had just stayed up. PS: in trouble for shaking the bed! shake it anyways imo. |

Some serious in/out exercise will make you sleep like a baby with a smile on your face.

I sleep alot better nowadays. I mean, I still don't sleep that much but I had a period in my life in which I slept a total of 12 hours a week. I was a wreck! I don't think you can do much about it, sleeping pills are garbage don't start with them.

i practised athletics since i was 9 until i was 17, from 14 to 17 i was doing mid to high competition and training 3 hours 3 or more days per week.
i am now 19 and my part-time job requires me to be sit in front of computer a great part of the day and i'm no longer a sprint runner but i feel the amounts of adrenaline are still there so unless i do some sort exercise it's hard for me lie on a pillow and fall asleep. i am not even joking. so yeah, exercise.. from hardcore guitar playing, sex or whatever communist youth books work drugs, alcohol.. work |

see... those books are where i take the hippie talking from. i take them mostly humorously, i'm not a hippie or a communist. i recommend you to read american latin communist youth books, it's higly amusing to read someone call ten times "puta de mierda" to pinochet in the same paragraph. the kind of thing i like to read just before falling asleep. |
