Do you use or have the Tremlock setup correctly on your guitars?
http://www.webrocker.de/jaguar/cms/2...remolo-system/ I'm trying to wrap my head around this, then again i'm building my own jazzmaster and i'm still not quite complete with my build (just need to wire it!)... it makes sense but i don't think i'm gonna get that nice balance between the string tension and the tremolo spring so that the guitar will stay in tune with the tremlock engaged and not engaged... my tremolo system seems as though it has a super tight spring which is long such that when i do get that "balance in tension the spring would "bottom" out of the routing of the guitar body, i don't think i can route deeper without putting a hole through to the otherside! also btw, this is an interesting read with some interesting links: http://www.alphabetcityblog.com/2008...intenance.html

The trem lock is more or less for keeping it in tune if/when you break a string, so I don't even bother with it on mine.
