I voted yes, but I'd be really surprised if Sonic Youth got in on their first try. I bet the Hall of Fame ignores them for about 7 years before it accepts the fact that they were one of the greatest of their generation.

there are some great bands that are potential being honored here. Who knew that Yo La Tengo would ever be mentioned (potentially) by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Very cool.
