Yeah, I did it for RIPfrey not too long ago. I used this program called 'Easy CD-DA Extractor 9.0'. Not sure where I got it but maybe a search on yahoo or something will find it.

Just use itunes. But i don't know why you would want to convert m4a to mp3 since it is waaaayyyy better. It sounds near cd quality (In my opinion, it sounds exactly like cd quality but apparently it loses some quality). It is also 128 kbps which is fucking small and an mp3 at 128 kbps sounds like shit.
