Zaika?

What about Zaika? All I know is, that it's a project of Tom Carter and Marcia Bassett, who are in bands i absolutely admire (particularly Charalambides and Hototogisu) and they put out a record on Eclipse in 2005, which seems to be available at a reasonable price. I think I'll buy it anyway, but please say something to this topic, if you can! Haven't found any mp3 either.

edit: You can also share your thoughts on Zaimph, if you want.

i have the zaika record, it's disappointing, nowhere near the same league as either charalambides or double leopards. zaimph i like a lot though.

there's one out of print CD-R from zaimph that i have that i love & i'll try to remember to upload later if you want, PM me or bump this thread or something, ortherwise i'll forget. i have a couple of other zaimph CD-Rs but they aren't quite as good. also i saw her live and it was supurb.

JOSIP BROZ TITO- he was president in ex yugoslavia, cuba has fidel we got tito ,,one of the greatest man in our history, he died 1980...

So that's what Tito looks like. I'm reading a book at the moment which has Tito in as a character. And Cary Grant.

Regarding Marcia Bassett ... Anyone heard Un, which consisted of Marcia Bassett and Tara Burke and seemingly only have released one 7" on siltbreeze? I have stumbled over it on e-bay several times.

they also released an LP on siltbreeze (which is very pricey - $100ish) which i have a downloaded copy of, and apparently 5 or 6 tapes. Un is not really like double leopards or fursaxa at all. the 7" can still be bought from the siltbreeze website i think.

just found out about this:

ZAIKA: IL CORRAL (heavy other CDR)- second release on the heavy other imprint. this is a complete set from los angeles in 2005, and is possibly the most blown out and massive zaika recording to see the light of day so far. a long way from the delicacy of the eclipse LP, more like a barbed wire q-tip. edition of 205, paper sleeves in plastic w/ stamped silver CDs. $11.00 POSTPAID IN US

Cary Grant is an American/British actor who was very famous in the 40's and 50's.

I think I will read some more about Tito because it will be useful info to have while reading this book. It's sort of fantastic but also, I think, based on real events/people. It would be useful to sort the fact from fantasy.
