Without any psychological attachment:'She's The One' by Robbie Williams. The pop that is seen so much in this man goes 'POP!' on me.

Dylan and Hole and whatever else Saterrous likes are pretty horrible.
For the record, and I know no-one actually cares, I'm not terribly fond of Nevermind, although the 'secret track' is pretty neat.

Loved the album when it came out at the time.Listened to it loads for a while till i got tired of it.The reputation it has is a case in point on how music critics should be generally shot.

i got into sy and nirvana simultaneously in 1998, when i was 14... at first i was intrigued and bewildered by sy and i loved nirvana in a particularly teenage gushingly emotional way.. after six months or so, i was disinterested in nirvana but continuiningly compelled by Da Yoof

That's the thing. When i first listened to Nirvana i was simoultaneously into New Christs,Dinosaur Jr,Sonic Youth,The Scientists,Current 93,Nurse With Wound,Diamanda Galas,Pixies,Green On Red etc.Nirvana were never the best out of this bunch but went on to be acclaimed as such and that is wrong in the wrongest way possible.

i've spoke to other sy/nirvana fans who are always adamant that SY are a better band (which is probably true)

There's no doubt about SY being a better band and i wouldn't even have to be a fan to know that.

Still,Nirvana are not comparable to Sonic Youth in any shape or form.We all know that at the height of grunge pop Nirvana put out 'Nevermind' and SY put out 'Dirty'.I know where my heart used to be when it came to the pop battle that might have ensued.

At the time,in fact,i was torn between SY's 'Dirty',Nirvana's 'Nevermind,Metallica's 'Black album' and Primal Scream's 'Screamadelica'.To top it all Spacemen were recently defunct and The Velvet Underground reunion was happening.
