I saw them on David Letterman and I have to admit I've never listened to them before. I had heard of them before but I thought the name was really stupid and I figured they must be stupid.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESK_xptw8Ac Upon further youtube exploration they just sound like they really really love JAMC and Suicide and Clinic. The one guy even kind of looks like Jim Reid. Do they have anything to offer besides blatant wannabeism? I find that gets boring really fast. |

They bleed JAMC from the looks of that. I don't even think the JAMC were that JAMC.

I like them quite a bit, but that's because I like 60's rock mixed in with distortion. They wear thier influences on thier sleeves. Yet, I also feel while what they do may not be that inventive, nobody else really does what they do. I love the simplicity of thier sound. And its quite crazy when you see them live that they can make such a loud sound with just two guitars and a very simple drumset.

I really enjoy their ep Whip it On, that really blew me away. It was before I even heard Sonic Youth.

I saw them play Amoeba a couple years ago. Sure they're spinning wheels being retro but for being knowingly retro they do it very well. I dig Attack of the Ghost Riders. Really the best retro band I've heard, though a lot of retro stuff sucks.

I like them. They're not original or whatever, but that's not what they mean to be... They mean to be revival and they do this very well
