man, ive been listenin to these guys a lot today and i remember how they used to be one of my favorite bands, and yknow what, i still fucking love them. how come this band seems to have been so forgotten? they had everything, the best parts of psych, noise, folk, even hip hop, not to mention valley of fire totally ruled and was completley underrated. can anyone profess their allegiance to this band to cheer me up and so i dont feel so alone?

I wouldn't say they are "forgotten", they are REALLY well-known in this scene, I discovered them through amazon.com of all places.
They've got some pretty good stuff. |

I opened for them once about a million years ago.
They were a lot better a few years later. Defintely some good albums there. Their performance at the second DeStijl/Freedom From fest was great. |

I absolutely hate both sides of that. Awesome cover though. I liked a few JOMF releases... I got a little bored after a while though. Maybe I should pick up on them again? What's good of the stuff from the last... ur... 4 years or so?

I love 'em. I don't think they're forgotten so much as they've been a lot less active. Like, A LOT less.

well, yeah not all their stuff is great. but a lot of their stuff is REALLY great. theyre by far my favorite of the new, what i like to call, 'hippie noise' bands, like sunburned, six organs of admittance, comets on fire (suck), etc...
