Just bought this bootleg today. The setlist is obviously unbelievable, but I was wonderinf how it compares to other bootlegs.
What are yr thoughts?

I hate the it's considered a bootleg. It was released by the band. To me that's just as official as the SYR series. But anyway.
The setlist is great, bt it's mastered at too fast a tape speed, so things sound falsely sped up if you notice. Worth it for the encore alone. Holds up next to any SISTER era boot, as this was a pretty standard setlist at the time. You NEED to get LIVE AT THE CONTINENTAL CLUB however.

I think it was done to fit the original release on an LP. But they should have fixed it when the re-released it on CD>

I've had HTT since the early 90's and never knew that it was sped up. I always thought they were playing those songs incredibly fast...guess I know why now! |

I thought the "tape sped up" thing had been debunked, no? Wasn't there some discussion about it a while back? It always sounded OK to me, and the spoken parts aren't noticeably out of whack.

It is by all means sped up. slightly. Enough to put me off listening to it, no matter how good this is.

Does anyone know the meaning of the Chinese/Japanese letters?
Edit: Found it in the other old thread.

I own it and was disappointed. I used to get excited about bootlegs in the 80s but now the recording just sounds crude and primitive.
Unless that your thing. I would love a 21st century boot say from aug 12.

the HTT versions of "Tuff Gnarl" and "Cotton Crown" are so awesome.
