I see no possible way to do true justice to this graphic novel, in what wioll likely be a 2 1/2 hour movie, but DAMN if the trailer does not look fantastic.
It is too bad that we live in a culture that treats comic books with less respect than sesame street or mr roger's neighborhood. Otherwise, the Watchmen would have made a fucking KILLLER 6 part miniseries, a real big budget motherfucker. it would have been so great. anyway, here is the Trailer that is showing at Dark Knight screenings http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONQ3Zgy195Y

yeah, I've heard it was going to be almost 3 hours long and encompass the entire set of books.
that's somewhat disappointing, but it still LOOKS badass. time will tell. on/off-topic: the watchmen was one of the few DC comics that I actually REALLY liked. that's pretty much reason enough for some hollywood suit to fuck it up hardcore. |

I'm pissed because a while ago my dad told me I should read this and that he had his old copies in the garage somewhere. So I went out to look for them, they were not found, and then this trailer comes up. So if I ever do find them, I'll feel like I'm only reading it because of the movie.
Whatever. It looks good.

The trailer blew me away . Its the same SP song used for Batman + Robin but mixed slower , I have been disgruntled with SP but I thought it worked for this .
Can't wait to see this movie , Almost (but never so ) as much as Terminator 4 . I will live another year ! |

Watchmen is one of the best comics I've ever read. I was pretty nervous about how this movie would be. In fact, I was convinced they would fuck it up entirely. I must say however, that this trailer looked impressive. Here's hoping it won't suck!

it seems like people care more to talk about the song in the trailer than the movie or trailer itself
give it a rest |

I'm totally psyched for this flick. It looks like it might do justice to the books.
It's too bad that Terry Gilliam couldn't get his shit together to do it...but that's happened with him and a lot of projects.
