the taxman laid down the law on my wife and i on saturday, so its time to raise some quick money to replenish our savings account ...
lots and lots of rare stuff here. sunburned hand, mv/ee, radiohead, sonic youth, wolf eyes, vxpxc, acid mothers & lsd march related stuff. along with a bunch of personal art that has been in limited quantities for a while ... check it out: http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/snstrexgtr

Sorry to hear about the taxman - I've put a few things on watch in an effort to help.
Thank you, by the way, for timing your auctions so that they finish at a sensible time in both Europe and America. There's nothing more annoying than seeing an auction that is worth bidding on that finishes in the early hours of the European morning. |

so hard to part with a lot of the stuff, but liberating at the same time as i have been threatening to go strictly vinyl for the better part of the year. a lot of that sunburned is really, really limited straight from the hands of the band in payment for art i did in the past. my loss is your gain!

i have to admit i didn't realize how much people wanted some of these pieces. i am getting offers for me to bootleg certain discs because they couldn't originally get them and they are afraid of losing the auction. its kind of shocking ...

I seriously considered bidding on that, but dozed off in front of the TV early yesterday evening and woke up after it had finished. |

So that Live at the Eagle's Nest DVD is worth over $40 nowadays, eh? Hmmm.

yea i guess so! i bought it for 5 one of the first times i saw the band in 2004 ... its kind of weird how much some of the things went for. i didn't think they were that rare or in demand, but people were obviously looking for them ...

I also bought it for a fiver at one of their shows back then. It's alright, but I'd definitely sell it for $40.
eBay never ceases to amaze me. I was following a load of Birchville Cat Motel auctions last week, all by the same seller, all starting at $0.99. In the end, none of them went under $20. This one even went for nearly $150! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=220370922944 |

i am starting to believe there is no recession between how much alot of these pieces went for and watching auctions in the last couple weeks. plus here in boston its still impossible to find somewhere to dine on a week night without a wait ... or people's priorities are just kind of whacked.

The recession exists but I think is more psychological than anything. I mean if one company failed, but Americans didn't worry about it and just continued normal spending habits, things would probalby be a lot better off.
But the news industry which profits off of scaring the fuck out of you so that you can do nothing but watch their shows in order to know if you are safe, blows the whole thing up and makes it seem like we are in some economic holocaust. Fuck the recession.
