Discogs is a user built music database. They have a marketplace where you can buy and sell records. Anyone contributing there?

Heh - just bought a copy of the Russian Daydream LP through their marketplace yesterday for a very reasonable €6
I've added a couple of Mogwai-related bits, but haven't started going though the rest of my stuff yet... |

scissor shock's on there, but I never put 'em on there and have never contributed to that site.
Seems pretty accurate for the most part, look up wolf eyes for some fun... |

Yeah, discogs is good. I started contributing some stuff but found the moderators a bit picky. It's good for buying stuff though. I got Torch of the Mystics for normal cd price. I got an original copy of Cluster II for reasonable. It is good.

from wikipedia:
"Version Four (V4) This system launched on March 10, 2008. New submissions and edits currently take effect immediately. ... The changes in v4 have been controversial among active users and former moderators because of what is perceived to be a substantially reduced reliability and usability of the database. As a result, a number of long-time users and former moderators have deleted their accounts,[7] and several hundred remaining members -- collectively responsible for the initial submission to the database of over 200,000 releases (almost a fifth of the total) -- have indicated they would like the site to return to v3." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discogs..._Four_.28V4.29 |
