I need $50 bucks to see Xiu Xiu in 8 days. I have already been looking for a job before I found out Xiu Xiu was playing in LA, but they're too soon for that to matter now. So, I am currently broke except for 2-3 dollars in quarters and dimes. Anyone have any ideas?

I would say sell plasma, but I don't think you're 18.
You could go around your school and ask random people for a dollar for a few days straight, a buddy of mine cleared $20 in a day doing that, and he only asked like 50 people

oh-- duh!!!
you could ask the parental units $50 in advance against your paycheck barring that you could get a payday loan & get in debt for the rest of your life |

Good idea, I might send one of my guitar pedals that I never use any more to my neighbor.
My dad may have been trying to teach me something, but he wants to see SY play Daydream Nation too. He likes the majority of that album. |

Just sell some cd's and stuff. If you are anything like me, you probably have a lot that you don't really listen to anymore. Now I know that even still, it may be hard to get rid of them. But if you aren't using them, this would be a good way to put them to use.

On a note, I just realized how sick I am. I was about to ask "what pedal? " and I don't even have 50 dollars to buy it. where the hell is xiu xiu playing? 50 dollars is a lot of money for one band. Most I ever spent was like 35 on the Pixies. |

A Digitech "Bad Monkey" Overdrive pedal plus the power supply. I'm selling it for $20.

You should scour change and sell your clothes. That is what I do when I'm really desperate for cash. By sell my clothes I mean I don't have good clothes, but I'm like "look at my shirt that I've had for 5 years man, it has tears in it, and real tears from being at shows and doing all kinds of crazy shit. It has mojo and soul. It's so punk/grunge/indie/emo!" And kids are like, "awwww yeah bitches, I'll so give you 2 dollars for that!" and then I get my 2 dollars and then my friend Guy says "hey man, let's go to unimart!" so I go to unimart and I see some twinkies and I'm like "hey dude I got some money!" Then I have to start the whole process over again. But eventually I save up enough money to buy cool stuff.

I have to buy two tickets, one for me and one for my sister. It'll end up being about $40 bucks (through ticketmaster). But I'm aiming for more just so I can buy a shirt.
