I'm going to be in Tokyo and Kyoto for the next couple of days. Would anyone have any recommendations for places to catch music OR even better yet, would anybody know of any good shows happening?

Also, I'm hoping to buy a few cds in some record stores, but don't want to spend too much since cds are expensive, so would anyone have any recommendations for any good Japanese bands to check out? I know alot of noise/experimental stuff, but not as much about more indie-sounding bands.
