fuck smoking. i just quit for good today. it happened thus:
this past saturday, finding myself deficient in mental focus, i bought a pack of marlboro reds for therapeutic use. i smoked one on the way home, then smoked none on sunday, then today i had one after my coffee in the morning. come the afternoon my brain was still unhinged, so i lit up another smoke and deeply inhaled. i normally just inhale lightly. i got sick and fucking nauseous. had to get to bed, i was feeling so sick. i trashed the fucking smokes and i'll never smoke again. ha ha- i hope... |

in the US about $3.50 averagely? here it's wayyyy more than that but in most american cities i think it's about that much.
in the UK it's like $10 or $11 US.

marlboro lights are somewhere around £3.50, when i occasionally smoke it's roll-ups now, tobacco and papers come to about £4 and you'll get 30+ cigerettes.

"fight for our rights"
i smoke but i dont feel pressured or revolted by smoking bans. i understand others have the right to care for their health. really, cut the whining. it's stupid. |

i think the smoking ban in new york is stupid though. at least fucking have a smoking section so we don't freeze our asses off outside in the winter or sweat our balls off in the summer. "but your smoke still gets in our section, whine whine whine". okay so close off the smoking section. BAM. problem solved.

here some places have some sort of "air recycling barriers" that keep the air from a room ro get into the other room, with no "material" barriers between the smokers/non smokers sections. I can't explain it better, but it works.
