I can see why somebody would like Black Boned Angel and not Earth/Sunn O))). To me, at least, BBA are quite structured and never so difficult to follow, whereas Sunn O))) et al. can seem pretty directionless at times. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I love just about everything I've heard from Campbell Kneale, Black Boned Angel included.

I've got his the one of 20 Buck Spin, I forget the name. The first track is really boring but the next two are awesome. Been meaning to hear more albums from this Cambell Kneale project.

Bliss and Void Inseperable or Supereclipse? They are both on 20 Buck Spin.
B&VI is one long incredible skull crushing track. I love it. I assume you guys are talking about Supereclipse, no? Never heard that one.

I haven't heard BBA. I'll check them out. I'm back into a metal phase and Sunn0))) makes me nostalgic now. I'm super into them again. I still think everyone should get a copy of this because it will sell out soon. I ordered mine this past weekend. Sunn0))) - Oracle LP 7,777 copies (2,000 on clear)

I, too, don't see how you like black boned angel and not sunn... though all I've heard is supereclipse.. it's good, of course.. i remember it being sunn like but some more treble and some highs in the mix.

i have supereclipse and loved it, haven't heard it in a while though...it did, however shatter my expectation of it, it's as much like sunn o))) as, say, nadja or orthodox are.
i got oracle this friday in the mail, i would love to have the two disc version, but oh well. |

Supereclipse is the older one I think. Bliss and Void Inseperable is one hour long track which is pretty ponderous for the first 15 minutes but ace from thereon in. Also, Eternal Hunger and Eternal Love have just been reissued as an LP on riotseason. |

Earth is fucking amazing. I'm so into them and I love their remix of Coda Maestoso on Hibernaculum even more than the original. I have that album spinning right now. What would you say is their best album? I really want to get more

Best Earth album?
I'd go with Earth 2 or the first one. |

Oh, and I also listened to BBA for the first time today, and I have to say that I find it strange that somebody would be digging this, but not Sunn... diff'rnt strokes, I guess.

yeah, it's like liking the ramones and not liking that screeching weasel album where they do nothing but ramones covers and sound exactly like the ramones and don't change anything and even mixed the album exactly the same way.
..okay, maybe it's not like that, but.. |

best earth? tough one, pretty much every album is unique, with the possible exception of pentastar.
their most influential, or perhaps essential, is earth 2, though. yeah, i have supereclipse too, i'll give it a listen soon. |
