I forgot how awesome Sonic & Knuckles is with Sonic 3 plugged into it. It turns both of the games into one giant game, and if you get 7 chaos emeralds before you finish the Sonic 3 half, when you reach the sonic and knuckles levels, there are these teleporters everywhere that teleport you to a cave where you can get 7 more emeralds and become crazy unstopable and just vaporize everything in your path. And when the two games are plugged into eachother there are 8 different endings. They sure don't make videogames like they used to

Those games were supposed to be one game but they were out of time, so they released Sonic 3 first. You can also get Super Knuckles if I remember right. I want to get the sonic gems collection but it's only on Gamecube and I have an Xbox. I so wanna play Sonic CD.

Oh dude, Sonic CD is a fucking crucial game. My all time favorite Sonic game. It's not as long as Sonic 3 with Sonic & Knuckles but it has amazing graphics, gameplay elements, and music. It's got 4 different endings and you have to like, go into the past and destroy robotniks machinery in the past, and if you do that in the first two zones of each level, when you warp to the future in the final zone, it's a " good " future, meaning technology is still there, but in a good way and the environment is propering, but if you don't do that, robotnik takes over everything and it's a dark polluted " blade runner esque " future.
that's one of the " dark " future outcomes |

I'm sorry for saying this but: Sonic heroes is a horrible piece of shit. Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 I really really enjoyed playing on Dreamcast, Then I gave Sonic Heroes a go and it was just, so miserably bad

Yeah they have one for xbox too but there are 2 different collections. The newest one is only on Gamecube and on ps2 in Japan. The new one is the one I want cause it has Sonic CD but they only have it for Gamecube in the states and I don't relly want to buy a Gamecube just for one game. Man, I've wanted to play that game for a really really long time. I suppose I could get it for pc but I hate pc controls and I don't have the money for a pc controller. |

Aww man, I love Dreamcast, one of the best consoles ever. I still have mine. The Sonic Adventure games were so good. Shenmue is my all time favorite game.

if you plug sonic 1 onto it you can get about a bazillion sonic 3-style bonus levels. it's an entire game full of them; it's incredible.
but getting back to the original topic . . . i love sonic and knuckles. except for the sandopolis zone level 2, where you're inside the pyramid and there are all these mazes and the ghosts come after you if you don't keep the light on . . . the place is obscenely difficult.

no, definitely not . . . i loved sonic spinball. i found it annoying that it only had four levels though . . . not long enough. the levels themselves take a while though, so there's some consolation. always loved the machine.
as long as we're on the topic of sega games . . . did anyone ever play ecco the dolphin? that game has quite possibly one of the best level titles in the history of gaming . . . "welcome to the machine."

the dreamcast was the greatest system ever, really it was! Remember how you could play online with dreamcast and not pay anything, unlike todays game consoles. And yes Shenmue has to been the greatest game ever!

Only thing I ever played on Dreamcast was Power Stone. I didn't even play it on Dreamcast, I played it at an arcade and it made me want a Dreamcast for like...a day. Then I forgot about it.

There was a sequel for Ecco the Dolphin on the Dreamcast and it looked amazing. And the amount of control you had over ecco was great. On Sonic Spinball, that game was fun but you couldn't save so you had to pass it in one sitting. Its weird because I've never had a Genesis but my cousind always got the new consoles when they came out and I used to play with them all the time. |

yeah, i have that. i liked it but for some reason i never was as fond of it as i was the genesis versions . . . i got a few levels through and then stopped. however, there was a genesis sequel called "ecco: the tides of time," and if possible i like that even more than the original ecco. some of the music on that game was unbelievable. these kinds of levels were a pain in the ass (you're in the air and if you fall into a whirlpool or out of the water ducts you automatically die):
