yeah i know they are "hip" and so forth but does anyone else think their street horrrsing album is a work of sublime genius.
i mean, seriously, it captivates you for 10 or 12 minutes then halfway through track three, one chord change and the whole album is shifted and comes into life. i mean, its an incredible piece of work, music designed to bend the ear... i realize a lot will disagree but fuck the critisisms... i love this album.... at the moment album of my year! |

Yeah! The Buttons. Played with them a few years ago. Thoroughly decent chaps, albeit as gay as Christmas.

yeah, they are pretty good at what they do and to me it sounds like they are doing soft noise so to speak.
i know how i put it makes it sound like poser shit but it's really good. i don't think of them as the ultimate band but the record is pretty cool for a hipster hype band. |

I saw them live and was quite underwhelmed. Haven't heard the CD yet, but I have a feeling I might like them better on record. Too much hopping.

I'm not crazy about them but they're ok, a bit too background music for my liking, still not bad. I think you might like them, go see them. Where are they playing? |

They'll play in a small club in my hometown (that I doubt will manage to handle good enough the Melt Banana and Liars gigs in the coming weeks...) called Unwound club. The acoustic and lights aren't that good, but usually the ticket is pretty cheap.
I might go, I won't to listen to them before the gig, I want to be "surpised" for once, he he. It's been a while since I last went to see a gig of a totally unknown (to me) band. Thanks for the suggestion.

the album sounds like a stuck Muse cd with the vocals off jesus built my hot rod drifting over the top every now and then...despite (or maybe because of) this it still somehow manages to be great.

This album is a bomb. Nothing has struck me so hard in a long time, music-wise.

Can't dig it. It sounds very computer and modern keyboard generated, it kinda lacks any feeling to my ears.
