I really hope I don't get the job at either of those places, but thery're the only ones that are hiring. I also applied to Pizza Hut, which wouldn't be so bad because they are always really nice in there it seems, and a local restraunt that said I probly wouldn't be hired until the end of the summer but luckily one of my frinends might be quitting soon. My first choice is P-Hut and the manager said they were looking at applications, my second choice is the local place, then Taco Hell, and Mc Murder. I would rather smell like tacos than burgers all day. I still haven't put my applications in to Taco Bell or Mcdonalds. Anyway, has anybody here worked in any of these places?

Never worked at any of them but I'd guess you would have more earning potential with pizza delivery. Plus most of the night you're driving around listening to music. The trade-off is the price of gas.

If you have some work experience maybe try being an assistant manager at Pizza Hut. The ones in the cities pay around 32 K a year....pretty good money for being a pizza dude.

It's my first job. I have a feeling it might be taco bell since the application said I didn't need any experience.

McDonalds would be horrid; unless you live in France, it would be sweet to get free McBeers

yeah i don't think mcdonalds is a good place...however taco bell wouldn't be either. have you tried applying to a coffee place, like starbucks? they pay above minimum wage. and it's acctually a nice place to hang out.

There's actually usually a really good staff at starbucks. Everytime I go the service is excellent and it's a good atmosphere. I guess it really depends on the location though

I live out in the middle of nowhere and we JUST got a bookstore that's not the Bible Book store. The only places to work are at fast food places or the Casino on the reservation. We also have a waterpark that I might apply to, but that's about it.

That's not bad. But hey, if you don't get any of the jobs you can always spend the summer reading books in the bokstore hours on end. I did that today in chapters reading a book on pavement. It had some pretty sweet SY material in it!

then you should apply to the bookstore even if there isn't an opening. people that work in retail quit all the time, you should get a call within a month proabably.

Ya, I checked with the two women in there the other day and they said it might be a while since they just opened it and needed to get more business before hiring anyone.

I haven't worked at eith Toxic Hell or Mcdevil's, but I did work at KFC for one shift. Talk about a job that was lack luster. During said shift, I smoked a joint every time I got my 15 min break, and during the 30 min break, I went with my trainer guy to the liquor store and watched as his alcoholic self guzzled a fifth of the most horrid vodka imaginable. Yeah, I didn't go back to work the next day.

I might get a job at subway this summer. I also heard that there are plans to build a starbucks where I live so hopefully, if i can't find anywhere else (sigh) I'll be working there next school year. Which I think would be better than subway.
