i think they're the closest we've had to the beatles this century. they've had the same career progression... cherry peel and that era was the cute, folksy songs, and it went to satanic panic in the attic with their middle phase, now with skeletal lamping, it's the psychedelic era.
kevin barnes is a lyrical genius. what do you think? have you heard their new album? this is the skeletal lamping cover

The Beatles comparison is something I just can't agree with at all. They're a pretty good group, nonetheless. I found this one slightly disappointing compared to Hissing Fauna. It's too horny for it's own good and the songs are way too busy sounding that it gives me a headache.

I haven't heard anything new, but saying that, I haven't bought new music in a while.. broke. Anyone who already likes them (but doesnt hold them as a favourite), think it's good?
funny because I was just unpacking some more cd's too see what I haven't put on itunes and found a bunch of of montreal mix cd's some radom awesome guy from the flaming lips forum made for me years ago.
