Yes they are a cheesy band but I for one would be pretty happy if this actually happened. Mostly because I listened to them growing up, but also because they had some legitimately good music like the Use your Illusion albums. I pretty much like every style of music out there, and even though my favorite happens to be stuff like Flaming lips and Sonic Youth, I'm not ashamed to admit I enjoy Use your illusion
The only problem would be the tickets. Not only would they be crazy expensive but they'd probably be impossible to purchase with all the online ticketing BS that goes on now a days. |

Actually you'd have to worry about them hyping this up like crazy, the concert being sold out in 2 minutes and then after being late for 2hrs Axel says "Fuck it, I'm going to stay in my hotelroom and order up a pizza."

Is it safe to do heroin when you're using a pacemaker and on oxygen?

Great! Another pit stop for some poor old has been roadies to re-live the glory days of the 80's when big hair was cool and so were tight leather pants.

'Estranged' is one of the best songs ever written. Prog rock anthem. I can see it inspiring Koenjihyakkei for sure.

While i think Guns n Roses were a better band than a lot of their haters suggest, they really don't warrant a lot of the attention they're currently getting. I bought Appetite at the time because it was a great antidote to what I was generally listening to in the mid-to-late 80s (Sonic Youth, Swans, Big Black, Butthole Surfers, etc.) It was a good fun alternative-to-the-'alternative' if you like. No more and no less. They had their moment but let's not elevate them into something they simply can't fulfil. Keep listening to Appetite (the only thing of any real merit they ever did) but let's not fool ourselves into believing that GnR were a 'great' band; they simply weren't.

Jeez, Chinese Democracy has barely hit the stores and Axl already realises that he's not going to make the same money with it that he would've made 15 years ago.

Estranged is my favorite Guns and Roses song. They deserve credit just for that song alone. 9 minutes of awesome. Especially Slash's guitar playing, I love when he gets all quiet during the piano parts where axl is leaving his house in the limo in the video. That whole part has some of slash's most unique playing, he can do alot more than just blistering solos |
