Anyone else heard this boxset ?
It was released after Mellon Collie and is a collection of B-sides of their stuff. I was surprised to find a lot of good tracks on it.My sister had it from way back in 96 and i was bored one weekend so i listened to all of it. There's some great covers and original stuff on it. My Favorite Tracks off it: Said Sadly Meladori Magpie Clones (We're All) -This cover kicks ass My Blue Heaven The Aeroplane Flies High Jupiter's Lament Mouths of Babe So what does everyone here think of it ? I think its alot better than most of the stuff from Adore and on. |

I quite like Adore. The stuff in the Aeroplane box set is OK but not essential. I do agree there are some good covers. (The Cure - Night Like This). |

Yeah....I bought it when it first came out. I used to be a huge Pumpkins fan, but after Billy shaved his head and got all "goth" or whatever I kind of lost interest. But yeah the box set is pretty good....I might have to bust it out sometime.

I've decided to bump this superold thread. I used to have this boxset in high school. But then I got rid of it at one point. I dont remember why or when. I recently found the "Tonight, Tonight" disc, though and remembered how awesome a lot of this material was. Like James' "The Boy" or the Cars cover or the medley of outtakes, etc. I wish I still had the other discs.

I found a download for them a while back just so I could listen to that one Pistachio song (whatever it's called) that's just a bunch of riffs spliced together. Has some nice stuff in there.

No back when I was 14/15 and a super Pumpkins fan I used to always try so hard to get that set. Many of the song are on the Judus O disc on the special edition Greatest Hits. There still is a special place in my heart for the Pumpkins, probably nostagia though. Siamese Dream still rocks and Aeroplane Flies High is a great song in itself.

I still like them a lot. They seem to be cool to hate on. But whatever.

I almost bought this one cheap online recently... but figured I'd wait and see what the Pumpkins have in the pipeline for future releases first.
I'd hate to buy an old set if something more "definitive" were to come out in the future. |

I agree entirely, however I really enjoy the Team Sleep cover of the title tune THe Aeroplanes Flight High from circa 2001 tour, they did it much much better..
