I've been trying to buy the SYR albums for quite some time, but here in Portugal they're very rare to find, and whenever one or another pops up, they're pricey as hell. I was thinking about ordering them through the store, but I would pay as much as double the price because of customs taxes, so that is a no go, unless kungfunation starts shipping from europe too.
So my question is: what do you think to be the best solution (better deals) for people living in europe? I'd also like to order some of them at once to save on shipping costs. |

I considered buying on amazon.co.uk's marketplace, there are sellers there with really low prices, but most of them are sending the items from the U.S., doesn't this mean I'll pay customs anyway?

no, at least not for germany, there you pay 3 euros for shipping, the same you would pay inside germany.

i got all my SYR's from Amazon (except SYR8 which i found in HMV oddly). But then i'm in the uk. So its not much help to you. Except to say that they are incredible.
Enjoy! |

just looked on kung fu. all syr's on vinyl (if not possible, then cd) go to europe for 126,50$ (incl shipping).
when i just look on the dutch cd stores, you pay €14 per syr on cd without shipping. so kung fu isn't really that expensive. |

I lived in Lisbon for some time. And I often saw SYR releases at fnac. And if not there, you can always order them through a local record store, no? Allthough I must admit good record stores are rare in Lisbon/Portugal

The problem with Amazon marketplace is that quite often sellers don't actually keep the items that they're selling in stock. The Caiman and dvdlegacy sellers are particularly bad for that, although they're by no means the only ones.
I generally don't buy from marketplace sellers with a rating below 97%. |

You're getting me wrong, I know there are stores in Portugal that sell SYR records, the problem is that they're usually way too expensive for what we find in international sellers, that's why I'm interested in buying outside of Portugal. Anyway, I've seen some official papers stating that the customs no-taxing limit will be raised to 150€ in Decemeber, so I guess I'll wait a bit and then order from the US.
