I know this board has a lot of potheads.
Personally, I find one of the most intriguing aspects of stoner culture to be the sheer ingenuity that goes into creating some of the most marvelous homemade smoking devices. This thread is in honor of said ingenuity. Please share. $1 Bong/Blunt Saber Yesterday I purchased the exact same type of squirt gun as pictured above (24" Water Blaster Tube) for a single dollar at my local dollar store. I sawed off the very tip of the pointed end with a sharp steak knife, to create a wider hole. Carefully, I wrapped duct tape in and around said hole to provide a tighter fit. 'A tighter fit for what?' you may ask. Well, it's really up to you! With this piece I really enjoy using just a regular bong slider to stick into the altered end. But I have friends who swear by snuggling a blunt into said end. Once the bowl is packed and in place. Have a friend (or you) extend the squirt gun while you (or a friend) light the herb until the saber is fully extended. When the chamber is completely filled with thick, juicy smoke: remove the stem/blunt, put the end up to your mouth and have a friend (or you...be creative) shoot it into your mouth for a complete whallop of a hit. NOTE: You can take the hit by just putting your mouth up against the piece. But I find that it works best to grasp the end of the saber as if you were about to jerk it off, but form a comfortable place to rest your mouth upon with your index finger and thumb. Also, full bowls are never to be packed. The hit will be far too massive and most likely won't light entirely. Overall, a very effective piece without using up too much ganja at a time. |

I'd rather smoke out of something more flavorful. Like an orange.

You pull on the handle on the non-sawed side. It's an air-tight vacuum, since it's meant to hold and store water inside.

We made an apple bong a few weeks ago then paid some dude to eat it. Later we aspired to make one out of a globe atlas, but forgot about it (for obvious reasons).
Still the ultimate bong goal for me is to make out out of a globe and somehow get it rigged so that you can spin it around while pulling. |

We used a funnoodle once, y'know, a pool noodle. It provided some monster space inside there. You could also blow it in someone's face from across the room!

I'll post instructions on how to build a homemade self contained gravity bong later. I'm far too baked right now to begin to explain.

No. This is self-contained. No bucket needed. Just two bottles and a little engineering.
