Now, really think about this, dont just write off the top of your head. By "Cherished" I mean if you had to sell everything you owned and could only keep 5 things what would they be?
for me its 1). Lee Ranaldo signed copy of Goo 2). my guitar and amp 3). my cd player 4). book- Our Band Could Be Your Life 5). DVD- Hendrix at Monterey

1. 'Oliver Cromwell; A History' by Samuel Harden Church (1899, hand-numbered edition of 600 copies)
2. My Victorinox Swiss Army Knife. The most useful thing ever, especially the phillips-head screwdriver and the magnifying glass. 3. My 'Roberts R862' World Band Radio. Very small, very good and very reliable. 4. Can I choose my whole collection of commemorative medals? If not, I'll just have the 1914 one commemorating the visit of King George V to Birkenhead, because it has an engraving of Bidston Windmill on the reverse side. 5. Late 19th century print of The Falcon Inn in Chester. A really nice victorian engraving of a really nice place. I'm assuming I get to keep my house anyway. If not, then I'll sell the print instead.

1. my laptop (got about 30 gigs of music and shit on it, plus nearly all my poetry, photos and writings)
2. my sony handycam digital video camera - cost me 300quid and i've barely used it yet! need it for all the films and music videos i will make in the future. 3. my record and cd collection - obviously 4. my red/white/black tartan hoodie, i got it in prague for 50p, it is the best piece of clothing i ever have or will own. i choose it as no.4 cos i dont think there would be any chance of me ever finding anything like it again 5. my smoke box - old converse box i re-painted and re-designed into this black and white trashed looking old collage of vintage adds from newspapers, it contains my tobacco and any drugs i might have at the time, also all my fancy skins and filters and pipes and such forth - and i would defintily need this shit if i were to loose all my posessions bar 5. i'd also sneak my copy of Le Weekend on DVD by Jean Luc Goddard inside this box. |

1. My records (I count them as one item)
2. My computer (as of late, I've started to hate it more and more, and I know listing it here is lame, but I need it for schoolwork and there's some out of print music, which I don't want to seek with p2p again.) 3. My turntable (old and probably crappy, but I can't afford a new one) 4. ehhm... 5. uhh... Other than the stuff mentioned, I only have dull, mandatory things that are replaceable. |

It beats me how some of you seem to appreciate the mp3 collection on your harddrive more than your actual album collection...
I guess if it's purchased mp3s, then maybe, but I'm still it beats me. |
