just when i feel like having a drink and listening to spiderland, my piece of shit player decides to just die (or go in a coma, really). stuck on the boot-up screen and won't budge. so i'm going to try and see if the battery will die and recharge while i sit and listen to "web in front" over and over.
how is your night going?

i was going to go out but surprisingly there's not a lot of st. patricks stuff going on. usually every restaurant has some small cheesy party/two for one beer deal going on.

They usually have a tiny pinhole somewhere so that you can reboot the device. Stick in a needle or broken off guitar string (works for me) into the pinhole and it should start back on normally. I had an Iriver and it was forever doing that to me. Bad batch or something they said. Other than that, they were fantastic machines. I say 'they' because my girlfriend and I both had one each.

We had a 20GB machine. We went and had a look at some a few months ago and the 20GB is out of manufacturing. Had a look at the 6GB Iriver but it was roughly the same price as the 20GB. So I'm alittle hesitant now. Plus both the store itself and the Iriver company were very unco-operative and wouldn't give a refund on either machines.

What a coincidence. My iPod i've had for nearly two and a half years totally died today! I had a good amount of my music backed up, including (thank god) all my sonic youth, but what am i going to do until i can afford a new one? we had a good run, though. rest in peace my little iPod.
