VSTs are just plugins, you need an acual program.

I know that.
I have mini-host so I can play VST instruments, and I use VST with audacity. But what free stuff can I use to do it in real time with say whatever is coming in my line-in? |

You need to have a real fast processor and heaps of memory too... If you're talking real-time.

oh, i cant think of any free realtime.
google audioscrobbler, the betas were free back in the day. now i think you have to pay, but there might a functional demo... i think there is atleast.

You guys gotta try out audio mulch, you can pretty much effortlessly make completely unpredictable guitar driven spacey shit.
Not that there is any value in doing something that is ridonculously easy to do, but still, it is fun. |
