I'm copying what I said in the "last movie you saw" thread:
Overrated film, the melodramatic "pop-folk" music can be really annoying at times, the film itself verges on the amateurish and the sappy. There are nice Dublin shots though, and a few scenes are successful and touching (like the one when the girl sings in the streets at night with the discman).

don't mind it's low cost movie (even better), but yeah, movie is bit boring, alright. nice to see movie from Dublin from time to time, place I live at the moment. I think that he's good musician. especially that Falling Slowly track sound sweet. I wouldn't know anything more from his production than what's in movie tho. I found out about Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova listening to I'm Not There soundtrack. Marketa Irglova is czech name, so I was curious who is she, pleased to see czech hands on the soundtrack. I'm wondering what is the connection, why they've contributed on I'm Not There soundtrack, if it was Lee who ask them for collaboration.

I'm curious to see the movie, just because of the Czech connection and the fact that I've seen the Frames with Glen Hansard once and had a pretty good time watching the concert.
