Difficult to answer. Pretty unexciting to watch live. But good on record, especially (in my opinion) TV Sky and Music for Clouds (or something like that). The second is kinda ambient, so if that doesn't float your boat, avoid.

Really? I asked precisely because they're coming to town in January and the things I read on their lastfm page made me interested in listening and maybe going to the gig, haha. Anyway, I'll check those out and make up my mind then, thanks.

It was probably something like 15 years ago that I saw them - three guys standing still (two of them behind samplers) playing very rocking music just didn't work. Even worse than a laptop show visibly.
But they may have changed since then. |

I would probably check them out if they were coming. Definitely a historically important group (when they started doing sampler driven noise-rock there wasn't much else going, obviously that's changed through time). Tracks have always been pretty hit or miss for me.
