This seems a little low brow for you, Rob. Maybe you had a little crush on Chelsea and are upset she's been dirtied up?
I never did see her when she worked in my building. |

Back in the early days of the internet I had a "fansite" of pics of Chelsea Clinton on geocities. The government sent me a cease and desist email to stop posting pictures of the President's daughter online. No lie

Ahhh, geocities and cease and desist letters.. Courtney Love's attorneys sent me one for having Nirvana fansite. Hahaha, the 1990s internet was such a surreal place because of the slow modem speeds. It was AOL chat and odd DIY websites. Of course, it was STILL better than today where everything is just advertising and for sale. Shit, doing a google search about a band you like or a book you are trying to find out about is worse than just turning on the TV and watching commercials. Also, don't search shoes, it will attack and destroy all your banner ads There was a cartoon I saw, I don't even remember which one, where somebody was hallucinating or having a nightmare where they were being attacked by all the stereotypes of 1990s websites and internet chat. It was fucking hilarious, yet very apt.

And you know, I didn't have the feeling big gestapo was there recording everything i did or said...maybe I was just fooling myself...but when I logged onto the old Cool Beans BBS, I don't think the NSA was recording. Matt probably was, but it was his site. |

It is ALL logged, a huge chunk of it is on Archive.org, and all that separates then from now is then they didn't have the computing power to actually sift and sort through all that meta-data, whereas now? Sighs. They do. Even five years ago I would have called current "security" technologies fantasy like Skynet.. Now?
Welcome to the future hence my signature pic...

i like the way tesla is constantly pyschicly scanning for secret surveillance
its like god is a big camera in the sky and we all want to either have our consciousness merge with the camera (mock immortality) or free our consciousness from the scanning (privacy) dont you know you're all DEAD in the end anyway? monsanto paid me for this post. |

Is any given bombing in Italy the work of leftist extremists, or extreme-right provocation, or a centrist mise-en-scène to dis-credit all extreme terrorists and to shore up its own failing power, or again, is it a police-inspired scenario and a form of blackmail to public security? All of this is simultaneously true, and the search for proof, indeed the objectivity of the facts does not put an end to this vertigo of interpretation. Baudrillard - Simulacra and Simulation
