Bought an original 1991 gig poster the other week, it appears to be Raymond Pettibon, as in it's a play on the same style from the Goo album cover, I just can't find any information about the design.

The gig in question was Bremen - Hemelingen / Germany 27. August 1991 at the ‘Aladin’ with Nirvana supporting.

Thanks

Gareth

Hi Gareth, it is indeed a Pettibon image. His additional art was used throughout the "Disappearer" single and the Goo deluxe reissue. The image above was also used on the cover of the Goo VHS.

I had a feeling it was and would be, thanks for confirming for me. You could find out everything about the image but who the artist was.

Now I just need to find the money and get it framed, it is rather large ha.

This poster features prominently in the scene before "Brother James" in 1991: The Year Punk Broke, where Thurston is describing the singer, singing live, etc...
