Well, SYR 7 and 8 and a new Free Kitten record have turned up; do you suppose we're ever gonna hear about that alleged Lee solo record ever again?
Its by far my most craved Youth-related project. Maybe Lee himself will drop by to answer... |

yea i want to know too ! Maybe Thurston will guest on it. Lee has a more traditional music bkgrd taste so i want to see if that will resurface on it.
Perphaps Lee might even tour a solo record (Heart beats like a jackhammer)

what the hell is Amarillo Ramp?
I love the Out Trios Monsoon thing. Well, not love but it's ok. The drumming doesn't seem to be fluid enough for me but its still pretty good |

taking your time leads to Hotel California, FUCK THAT. Lets have it out by next month so I can be jamming to it outside in the beautiful sunshine.

yeah, but taking your time leads to 'trees outside the academy', which might as well be 'hotel california'.
take that.

i like 'psychic hearts' too. i'm not sure if it's for nostalgic purposes or what, in those sweet pre-internet days, hearing 'queen bee' and 'ono soul' on the radio accompanied by an interview w/ thurston really got me excited for that record, and it didn't disappoint when i finally heard it. the 'psychic hearts' encore on the 'trees' tour was the highlight of the show for me (and i know many disagree, which is cool.. i like 'trees' but not to the extent that most people seem to worship it).

I felt the same way. I was ok with the rest of the show, but the Psychic Hearts stuff was by far the peak part of the set. It would have been more effective to mix those songs in (plus a couple more!), rock up the Trees stuff more in places, and do a couple covers that weren't on either. |
