 Tetuzi Akiyama, AxSxE, Kazuo Imai, Takashi Ueno, Kazuhisa Uchihashi, EXPE SPACE GUITAR, Takayuki Kato, Yoshihiro Kawasome, Kido Natsuki, Mon Kumagai, Ryohei Kobayashi, Dainoji, Toshiaki Chiku, Kirara Nakabayashi, Munehiro Narita, Keiji Haino, Taku Hannoda, Keiichi Miyashita, MURATORIX, Seiichi Yamamoto. Solo, duo and trio performances by 20 Japanese guitarists, including several of the internationally renown artists who have helped define Japanese experimental music as well as an exciting and eclectic mix of young artists. This one day festival celebrates the huge variety of sound and technique possible with the guitar and promises to amaze all music lovers with an adventurous mind. The running order and the actual solo/duo/trio combinations will only be revealed on the day of the event. Performances will start when the doors open, so best to come early! Fuck, it would be great if they'd tour that thing. |

sounds interesting, but i never really heard one of those guitar improv extravaganzas live up to the expectations one might have for such an impressive roster of musicians

I just had the worst and most frustrating day of my entire life trying (and failing) to go see this.
3 hour drive to Tokyo, 3 hours lost in Tokyo, can't find parking garage, so frustrated I drive 3 hours back home. I want to shoot myself. Never try to drive in Tokyo! |
