yeah I went there, so? what are you going to do about? you all know you bumped this album in the 90s. its too bad KoRn didn't take Marsellus Wallace's advice and instead believed they would age like wine.... but didn't.

this record is very very good. the worst song in it is the most well known one and frnakly, a throwaway in the big scheme of things.
and the production is one of the best i've ever heard, like i said in another thread, it's like steven stapleton and dj muggs behind the board. |

I've frequently made references to this record on here and have posted about my love for it many a time. So, I don't know if I have anything left to say. The production is phenomenal, and songs like Chi, Ass Itch, Kill You, Mr. Rogers, and the AMAZING Good God are phenomenal. The first album was even dirtier and had their best songs overall (see Predictable) but this is the one I put on when I feel like listening to KoRn. Follow the Leader and Issues both had some good songs on it, Follow obviously having a bit too much rap and special guests, but Issues seemed to be moving in a nice direction, though it also had too much filler/interludes. Everything after that is devoid of even a single gem. Still a great band, and it's worth noting that Munky and Head are cited by anyone who is serious about music as revolutionary guitar players. They may not be technically "great", but some of the sounds they use are amazing... imagine, a "metal" band with very very few stereotypical metal riffs. A.D.I.D.A.S. for example has one of the UGLIEST riffs in history... anyway.. great record. The drummer is god.

this is true. It is actually sad to hear them still try without head, cuz it is entirely missing his parts. its like, they didn't even try to replace him. no it is just munky's chords, without head's riffs. terrible. these cats contributions are significant, though they went out in bad form, had they retired before 2000, they would have went out musically on top, however they opted for socially and economically, and so continue to surf the wave of commercialism where anyone who sold platinum can continue to sell out a venue. just check out the god-awful lineups at tickemaster's website to see that the good dont die young at all, in fact they age terribly into the future. god bless sonic youth for actually progressing rather then digressing into oblivion.

I was more into Rage Against the Machine around that time. Back when I was an atheist and a self-proclaimed Communist or whatever.

aside from athiesm and communism [to failing underdog ideologies] you were much smarter for supporting rage then koRn. it remains true, that you can kill a revolutionary but you cant kill the revolution.
