Apparently.
http://www.discogs.com/Homeogryllus-...elease/1237823 It's the album where Keiji Haino plays with an orchestra of crickets. Any of you fuckers heard it or got it? |

Here are my liners, writ 2004, record published 2005:
CRICKET LOGIC i. cricket leg rub / haino black insect alien back rub summit / metal insects breed, so why shouldn't Keiji? / plateau-like massed thrumm of hoards, sticky feelers extended / vibration=communication=rock n roll humm-bomb thrum-bomb high whine green drone, electronic and organic / do crickets dream of morton subotnick? ii. Hara crickets in casual conversation—what are they talking about? alien love songs to the earth / group mind, beautiful and pure. iii. hhhhuuuuummmmmmmmm. Ooohhhmmmmmm. Mamoru Fujieda matches wits with crickets. Holy Drone tames them, hypnotic, ecstatic, sound of earth slowing down, spinning in orbit. sound of breathing. sound, utimately, of US (you and me), in the best light possible. Lee Ranaldo Tokyo 031405 written for Homeogryllus japonicus orchestra, conducted by Great Year Soundings. Recorded at HARA museum, Aug 28, 2004. Soloist on tr 1: Keiji Haino, soloist on tr 2: Mamoru Fujieda. http://greatyearsoundings.jp info@greatyearsoundings.jp |
