This is it, this is what I've been looking for. See I've never been a fan of metal besides sabbath and couldn't stand the stupid obsession with death and wanky riffs. Jesu is something completely different though..its got the hard heavy feel of metal (filtered thru some MBV) but with a real sense of melodicism on the guitar and vocals. Someone described it as bliss metal or post metal which kinda makes senses. I dont care I just know I found a new favorite band. Def reccomended for fans of Bardo Pond or MBV.

Yeah, it's alright stuff. Reminds me of most of the Coaltar of the Deepers stuff -- actually, the production is identical, Coaltar is just less samey with their songwriting.
He's been doing the same thing for years and the last few releases have been pretty bad. Has some cool stuff though, like the Silver EP. Glad you dig it. |
