Mine is Warcraft 2.
Age of Empire and Total Anihilation come close. More recent games don't bring along much novelty, imo. Just dozens of different units or units improvement (even Starcraft has too many units: flying units that can attack ground units only, or flyng units only, spells, counterspells, I can't keep in mind all the abilities). I've been playing Warcraft 3 demo: the camera/zoom effects looks nice, but it doesn't improve the gameplay, it makes it difficult to have a global view of the area. |

all of you are wrong. so very very wrong. I've played and loved those games too, but DAWN of (fucking) WAR is where it's at.
the best part is, you can play any of the "expansions" separately. I found the most recent (DoW: Soul Storm) on ebay for $8. |

anything where I kick your ass.
generally RTS drive me nuts, I get too involved in small sections and can't handle that much scope at once. han solo plays that stuff. it doesn't really give me a rush like a good rpg/fps does. I wish he'd get over his alien phobia though. I just stand behind him every so often and be a back seat driver. "you should put those there" "what? stop go away!" *pEW PEW PWEEW massive explosion* "no really, I think you sho.." "seriously, shush now" *phoenix puts finger in his ear*

Real time strategy games are different than stuff like the NiS/Tactics stuff, right?
I guess, my favorite REAL TIME STRATEGY game in Age of Empires. But my favorite strategy game, period, is Disgaea 2. |

typical answer, Starcraft, honorable mention to Warcraft II. Always wanted to play Dune II though.
Favorite TBS though, X-COM: UFO Defense for sure.

@nr. Wouldn't you explain why posting a thread about rts games makes me an idiot?
I know precisely why, but please, do tell publicly why you're so clever about everything and everything I post is dull. |

I have no idea Gualbert, I said that a year ago. I was just being a jerk I guess. But it was so random that I found it funny when I saw it again.
