Yeah, in the other thread about this, I think everybody said they weren't buying it. Who would? Even the casual fan realizes they can find all of their records for around $30... So who would pay $150 for this? $495? The records don't even have anything new!

If you're gonna drop any money on Pixies, check out the MFSL master releases instead. Right now Surfer Rosa, Doolittle and Bossanova are available... all from the original analog sources (including Bossanova from the recently re-discovered master). Audiophile quality.

"I was recently quoted about the state of the music business, and I was saying it should be kind of a $5 world right now. Records and tickets should be cheap, given the overpricing of the recent years and the state of the world economy. But now, this box comes out and I feel like the biggest shithead in the world."

penis 4000 is my favorite website... because they only cover bands who wear neon wayfarers.

I guess they figure, if you don't already have all the Pixies' albums, then you must be an idiot. And an idiot would pay that much.

Who (Indie/alt rock fans) wouldn't even have these albums in the first place? Really? They're legendary records from one of the most important bands from the past 30 years. They're already cheap in the first place; Kids who heard Wave of Mutilation in Guitar Hero or loved Where Is My Mind? at the end of Fight Club have no interest in this; They already downloaded the songs from their Limewire years ago. In other words: Is there ANYBODY on this forum who doesn't already own these records? Or at least Doolittle (And probably Surfer Rosa)? ~Jeremy~
